Sitemap Plugin

Overview

The Sitemap plugin is a component in the delivery tier that generates XML feeds following the Sitemap Protocol. Search engines use these feeds to index website content.

A typical Sitemap Protocol XML feed is structured as follows:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">
  <url>
    <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc>
    <lastmod>2013-01-01</lastmod>
    <changefreq>monthly</changefreq>
    <priority>0.8</priority>
  </url>
</urlset>
