Overview
The Relevance Module in Bloomreach Content enables marketers to personalize channel content based on individual visitor characteristics.

Content Audiences Application
Marketers typically use the Relevance Module through the real-time panel in the Content Audiences application. The real-time panel displays a list of current visitors. For each visitor, the panel shows visitor characteristics such as referral source, viewed content, or live data like local weather. You can store, edit, and combine these characteristics into segments.

Channel Editor
You can use characteristics and segments in the Channel Editor to personalize the website. In the Channel Editor, marketers and webmasters can adjust page templates based on visitor characteristics or matching segments. You can add components to target specific audiences or configure components differently for various visitor types.
Alter Ego
The Channel Editor includes the Alter Ego feature, which allows you to preview the site as a targeted visitor.
Extensibility
The Relevance Module supports extensibility. You can develop new collectors to capture additional visitor data, such as integrating CRM data to target content based on purchase history. Data from custom collectors appears as visitor characteristics in the Real Time Visitor Analysis screen. You can also visualize complex data using custom UI widgets. The lower section of the Real Time Visitor Analysis screen is fully customizable and can display both existing and custom widgets in any layout. You can define new characteristics and create custom CMS UI widgets to view and edit them. These custom characteristics are also available in the Alter Ego feature.
