Collector Configuration

This page describes how to configure visitor data collectors for Bloomreach Content Targeting. Collectors gather specific information about site visitors, which can be used for segmentation and personalization.

ReferrerCollector

The ReferrerCollector records the URL of the external page that directed a visitor to your site.

To enable the ReferrerCollector, add the following configuration under /targeting:targeting/targeting:collectors:

You can configure the following property:

Property name	Property type	Default value	Description
targeting:visitorScope	Boolean	true	If true, collects the referrer only on the first visit. If false, updates the data on every visit.

TagsCollector

The TagsCollector captures keywords from specified properties of viewed documents.

To enable the TagsCollector, add the following configuration under /targeting:targeting/targeting:collectors:

SiteSearchKeywordsCollector

The SiteSearchKeywordsCollector records the search terms visitors use on your site’s search feature.

To enable this collector, add the following configuration under /targeting:targeting/targeting:collectors:
