Shared Datastore

Info: Contact Bloomreach Support to enable the shared datastore feature for your stack.

You can configure your Bloomreach Cloud stack to use a shared datastore. When enabled, binaries above a certain size from all environments in the stack are stored in a single database table named shared_datastore_<stack>, where <stack> is your stack name.

The shared datastore ensures that each binary used across multiple environments is stored only once in the database.

With this configuration, individual environment databases do not contain the binaries. To access these binaries, you must download the shared_datastore table separately.

To download the shared datastore table, use the following API calls:

Important: Only create backups of the shared datastore during off-peak hours. Backup operations can put significant load on the database server.

• POST /v3/backups/shareddatastore
  Initiates a backup of the shared datastore table. The response includes an id parameter.
• GET /v3/backups/jobs/{jobId}
  Checks the status of the backup job. When the status is completed, proceed to the next step.
• GET /v3/backups/{backupId}/repositorydownloadlink
  Retrieves the download link for the backup.
