Modify and Update a Resource Bundle

Overview

The HST dynamic resource bundles support allows you to edit existing Resource Bundle Documents using the Resource Bundle Editor plugin. After you re-publish the updated document, all changes are immediately reflected on pages that use the resource bundle. You do not need to redeploy the application.

Steps to Modify and Update a Resource Bundle

1. Locate the Resource Bundle document that contains the message you want to update.

2. Click the Edit button in the menu to enter edit mode.

3. Perform any of the following actions:

   1. To add or remove value sets (locales), use the "+" and "x" buttons in the "Manage Value Sets" section.

      • Note: When you add a new locale, set a value for every key by clicking the edit button in each corresponding row.

   2. To add or remove keys, use the Remove button ("x") in the Actions column.

   3. To change the value for an existing key, click the Edit button for that key.

4. After you finish your changes, re-publish the document:

   • Click Save & Close in the header of the Document Editor Area.

   • Then select "Publication" > "Publish".

5. The document is now published. All pages that use this resource bundle will immediately reflect your changes.
