Migrate from the Properties Plugin to Resource Bundles

You can migrate from the Properties Plugin to Resource Bundles by running a Groovy updater script that converts your properties documents into a resource bundle document.

Migration Steps

1. Create a new resource bundle document in your preferred folder.
2. Add the provided Groovy script to your script registry.
3. Set the path parameter to the absolute path of the resource bundle document you created. For example: /content/documents/myproject/labels/labels
4. Run the script. Before running it on production data, consider performing a dry run. Ensure that there are no conflicting keys in your properties documents.
5. Review the resource bundle document. The script should add all properties from your existing properties documents to the resource bundle.
6. Update your codebase to retrieve messages from the resource bundle instead of the properties documents.
