SEO-Specific Fields in Documents

The SEO plugin provides a "SEO" compound field type in the Document Type Editor. You can add this compound field to any document type as needed. The compound field includes two properties:

• title: Overrides the "pageTitle" portion of the HTML <title> tag. For details, see Component Parameter Definition.
• description: Overrides the content of the meta-description tag.

When a document includes the SEO compound at the root level and a value is set for either the title or description field, the SEO plugin uses these values. If not set, the plugin derives values from the configured document properties.
