    Added support for inherited documents and fields. This supports use cases in the add-on demo project with document types Parent and Child.

    Implementation notes:

    • Example: The Parent document type has fields "surname" and "name". The Child type supertypes Parent but defines only the inherited field "surname" and its own field "childName".

      1. If Parent is marked as translatable and its fields "surname" and "name" are also marked, you must explicitly configure Child as translatable and select all desired fields (inherited and custom). Translation settings are not inherited.

      2. If Parent has fields "surname" and "name", but Child inherits only "surname", the settings dialog will display all fields. Selecting "name" for Child has no effect if it is not inherited.

    Improvements for the XTM Connector and webhook:

    Connector:

    • Read configuration from xtm.localesMap instead of xtm.localesMapString. Update the property in the connector configuration.

    • After creating the XTM project, set any received xtmProjectName and xtmProjectId on the job node.

    • Added an extension point: XTMTranslationConnector#getProjectDescription(job) for subclasses to customize the XTM project description (e.g., include job.getCreator).

    Webhook:

    • Read configuration from the connector instead of the mount to avoid duplicate configuration. Remove xtm.* properties from the mount.

    • Added a status endpoint at *rest/xtm*/ and return a 200 or 500 string at *rest/xtm/jobFinished*.

    • Improved error handling. See TRANSLATIONS-355 for details.

  • TRANSLATIONS-367
    Moved YAML configuration for /hippo:configuration/hippo:frontend/cms/cms-advanced-search from the repository module to the search/service module.

  • TRANSLATIONS-370
    Added the attributes jobItemCreator, jobItemCreated, and jobItemLastModified to the generic XML format sent out. This requires using the overloaded method TranslationDocumentManager.getDocumentXml(TranslationJobItem) in the connector. All default connectors have been updated accordingly.

    The connector also depends on a javax.xml.ws.spi.Provider implementation, which is not present in Java 11 (Java EE is absent). Projects can still use the connector by adding a dependency such as com.sun.xml.ws:jaxws-rt:jar to the CMS, but this will introduce additional dependencies.
