The Tester Connector

The Tester connector provides a local translation simulation for development and demonstration. It does not require integration with any external translation system.

When you request a translation, the Tester connector waits 10 seconds, then returns the document as a simulated translation. The connector prepends each single string property with [MIRRORED TO <language>]. A backend service listens for the translation event and processes the mirrored document.

Configuration

To enable the Tester connector, set the following property in the repository:

Configure the translationsaddon:connector node with these properties:

Property	Default value	Description
tester.mirror.wait.seconds	10	Number of seconds to wait before returning the mirrored document. If you request translations for multiple languages, the connector waits the specified number of seconds between each mirroring action. Set to a value less than 0 to disable mirroring.
tester.cancellation.supported	true	Indicates whether the connector supports cancellation. If enabled, the dashboard displays Cancel and Re-submit actions.
