Overview

The TaggedContentComponent is a built-in delivery component that uses a tag from a content item to generate a product grid query. This allows content pages to display products related to the content automatically.

In the Bloomreach Accelerator: B2C Commerce Boot application, article detail pages use the Tagged Content Component. The component takes the first tag from the Tags field in an Article document and uses it as the query input for the product grid on the article's detail page.

Component Behavior

Rendering Phase

TaggedContentComponent expects the current content bean to include a multi-valued string property named tags. During rendering, the component retrieves the tags property, selects the first value, and stores it as a request attribute with the name StarterStoreConstants.ATTRIBUTE_QUERY. The Product Grid Component must be present in the page configuration. It uses this attribute to build its product search query and render the matching products.
