Standard Delivery Tier Components

The Bloomreach Content project archetype includes a components library that provides a set of generic delivery tier components. These components address common requirements in delivery tier development. Many features in the Essentials setup application also use these components. You can configure each component using parameters to fit your specific use case. This approach reduces code duplication and leverages established best practices.

Each standard delivery tier component has dedicated documentation that describes its purpose and usage.

Standard Components

The following standard components are available:

• Menu Component

Note: All standard components extend org.onehippo.cms7.essentials.components.CommonComponent. To add custom logic to the doBeforeRender method for all components that extend CommonComponent, see Extend CommonComponent with DoBeforeRenderExtension.

Dynamic Components

brXM version 14.3.0 and later introduces dynamic components. You can configure dynamic components at runtime using JCR configuration data instead of Java code. For projects that use a separate frontend application and the Delivery API, use the dynamic component base classes when possible instead of creating new Java component classes.
