Customize Icons for Documents in the Document Listing

Bloomreach Content allows you to display custom icons for specific document types in the document listing. The CMS locates custom icons in the res/ directory, relative to the class org.hippoecm.frontend.plugins.standards.icon.BrowserStyle.

Example

To display a custom icon for documents of type

myproject:newsitem

add your icon file to the cms module at the following path:

cms/src/main/resources/org/hippoecm/frontend/plugins/standards/icon/res/myproject-newsitem-32.svg

You can use either an SVG or a PNG file for the icon.

Important: The icon filename must follow the format [namespace]-[documenttype]-32.[extension]. The CMS scales the icon as needed. The image does not need to be exactly 32 x 32 pixels, but it must render clearly at that size.

Note: After adding or updating an icon, rebuild your project to apply the changes.
