Introduction to Projects

Info: Projects require a standard or premium Bloomreach Content license. Contact Bloomreach for details.

Projects provide structured workflow management in Bloomreach Content. Use projects to organize, review, and publish content changes in a controlled and collaborative way. Projects support the following scenarios:

Publishing Changes from a Single User

Create a project to isolate changes made by an individual user in the Experience manager and content. This allows you to submit these changes for review and publish them without interference from other users’ work in the same channel.

Collaborating on a Set of Changes

When multiple users need to work together, use a project to group related changes. Each user can contribute, and all modifications are tracked in one place. You can review and publish the entire set as a single unit.

Preparing for Future Changes

Use projects to separate work that should go live at a later date. Changes in a project remain isolated from the live website. Other users can continue to publish their updates, while pending project changes stay unavailable until review and merge.

Reviewing an Isolated Change

For important, standalone changes that require review—such as a new landing page—create a dedicated project. This allows you to submit your change for independent review and publication, even if other users are working on unrelated updates.

Bloomreach Content supports multi-channel content management. All workflow operations, including projects, work across all channels.

Running a Campaign

Projects can manage campaigns by preparing, scheduling, starting, and stopping a set of changes for a specific event (for example, a seasonal promotion). When the campaign ends, all affected channels and content revert to their previous state.
