Update Development Environment

Before upgrading your Bloomreach Content implementation project from version 15 to version 16, update your development environment to meet the new requirements.

Upgrade to Java 17

brXM 16.0 requires Java 17. Java 11 is no longer supported. Update the Java version in all local development environments, continuous integration (CI) environments, and server environments to Java 17.

Update Maven Repository IDs

Starting with brXM 16.0, all Bloomreach Maven repository IDs use the bloomreach-maven2- prefix instead of hippo-maven2-. Update all repository IDs in the following locations:

• Local Maven settings (~/.m2/settings.xml)
• Project pom.xml files
• CI environment configurations
