Adjust for Removed Deprecations

Update your implementation to account for removed deprecations when upgrading from brXM 15.x to 16.y.

Removed Deprecated ConcurrentLoginFilter and ConcurrentLoginListener Classes

The previously deprecated and non-functional (NOOP) classes ConcurrentLoginFilter and ConcurrentLoginListener have been removed in brXM 16. If your CMS web.xml contains references to these classes, remove the following configuration snippets:

The following Maven modules and associated classes, previously deprecated, have been removed in brXM 16:

  • org.onehippo.cms7:hippo-repository-deprecated-facetselectmirror
    • org.hippoecm.repository.jackrabbit.FacetSelectProvider.java
    • org.hippoecm.repository.jackrabbit.MirrorNodeVirtualProvider.java

The following constant has also been removed:

Removed Deprecated GoogleAnalytics Module

The GoogleAnalytics module, deprecated since brXM 15.3, has been removed in brXM 16.

CMS

The following reports are no longer available:

  • “Buzz > Visitors Last Month”
  • “Totals > Visitors Last Two Weeks”

The following Maven artifact and Wicket plugin class have been removed:

  • org.onehippo.cms7:hippo-cms-google-analytics-frontend
    • org.onehippo.cms7.ga.editor.DocumentHitsPlugin

The following Java package and its classes have been removed:

  • com/onehippo/cms7/reports/plugins/ga
    • com.onehippo.cms7.reports.plugins.ga.Column
    • com.onehippo.cms7.reports.plugins.ga.GAPanel
    • com.onehippo.cms7.reports.plugins.ga.GAPlugin
    • com.onehippo.cms7.reports.plugins.ga.GAStore

The following repository configuration nodes have been removed:

  • /hippo:configuration/hippo:frontend/cms/hippo-reports/buzz-website-visits
  • /hippo:configuration/hippo:frontend/cms/hippo-reports/totals-website-visit

Required actions:

  • Remove the dependency on org.onehippo.cms7:hippo-cms-google-analytics-frontend from your CMS pom.xml if present.
  • Check for and remove any usage of the removed classes.

Required actions:

  • Remove the dependency on org.onehippo.cms7.hst.client-modules:hst-google-analytics-hst from your site pom.xml if present. Also, remove any usage of the removed googleanalytics.tld.
    • In Freemarker templates (FTL), remove <@ga.accountId/>, <@ga.trackDocument/>, or <#assign ga=JspTaglibs["http://www.onehippo.org/jsp/google-analytics"]>.
    • In JSP files, remove <ga:accountId/>, <ga:trackDocument/>, or <%@ taglib uri="http://www.onehippo.org/jsp/google-analytics" prefix="ga" %>.
    • Remove any references to google-analytics.js if they point to the removed artifact.
  • Remove the dependency on org.onehippo.cms7.hst.client-modules:hst-google-analytics-repository from your CMS pom.xml if present.
    • Remove any YAML configuration that adds properties to /hippo:configuration/hippo:modules/googleAnalyticsConfiguration.

Removed Deprecations in Enterprise Forms

The undocumented PDF Filler functionality, deprecated since brXM 15.0, has been removed in brXM 16.

Removed Deprecations in Commons Module

The following classes, deprecated since brXM 12, have been removed in brXM 16:

  • org.onehippo.cms7.logging.log4j.JndiPropertyFilter
  • org.onehippo.cms7.logging.log4j.AbstractPropertyFilter

Use LookupFilter as a replacement.

In addition, the following interface method, deprecated since brXM 14, has been removed:

  • org.hippoecm.hst.security.AuthenticationProvider
    • Removed #getRolesByUsername (use #getRolesByUser(User) instead)

Removed Deprecations in Site Toolkit Security Module

The following classes, deprecated since brXM 14, have been removed in brXM 16:

  • org.hippoecm.hst.security.impl.HippoAuthenticationProvider
  • org.hippoecm.hst.security.impl.JcrAuthenticationProvider

Use RepositoryAuthenticationProvider instead.

The following method has been removed from RepositoryAuthenticationProvider:

  • #getRolesByUsername (this was an implementation of the removed interface method AuthenticationProvider#getRolesByUsername)

Removed Deprecations in Site Toolkit Core Module

The following property has been removed from SpringComponentManager properties in brXM 16:

  • security.authentication.role.domain

This property was used by the now-removed AuthenticationProvider classes.

Removed Deprecations in Taxonomy Plugin

The following methods have been removed in brXM 16:

  • org.onehippo.taxonomy.plugin.model.ClassificationDao
    • Removed #getClassification(IModel<Node>) (use #getClassification(IModel<Node>, Taxonomy) instead)
  • org.onehippo.taxonomy.plugin.TaxonomyFieldPlugin
    • Removed #isTaxonomyFieldValid (use ViolationUtils#getFirstFieldViolation and check for a violation)
