Build the Project

Info: Build the web application archives (WARs) for your Bloomreach Content project.

Before building the project, add your project files to version control. Committing your files at this stage helps you track changes and clearly separate source files from files generated during the build process.

To build the project, navigate to the root directory and run the following command:

cd myproject
mvn clean verify 
copy

After the build completes, Maven generates six JAR files and three WAR files:

• repository-data/development/target/myproject-repository-data-development-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• repository-data/site-development/target/myproject-repository-data-site-development-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• repository-data/site/target/myproject-repository-data-site-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• repository-data/webfiles/target/myproject-repository-data-webfiles-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• repository-data/application/target/myproject-repository-data-application-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• site/components/target/myproject-components-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
• cms/target/cms.war
• site/target/site.war
• essentials/target/essentials.war

The CMS module depends on the repository-data-* JAR files. During packaging, these JARs are included in the cms.war file. When you start the CMS WAR for the first time, the repository loads the definitions from the deployed repository data JARs.

The myproject-components JAR is included in the site.war file.
