Upgrade 16.4 to 16.5
Warning:
Known issue: In versions 16.5.0 and 16.5.1, accessing Experience Manager without the /cms context path (for example, http://cms.example.com instead of http://cms.example.com/cms/) can cause static assets (JavaScript, CSS, fonts) to fail to load and return HTTP 500 errors when using an Apache reverse proxy as documented.
Upgrade to v16.5.2 to resolve this issue.

Overview
This guide describes how to upgrade a Bloomreach Content implementation from version 16.4.x to 16.5.y.
Significant Changes in 16.5
- The Experience Manager frontend has been fully migrated from AngularJS to Angular. This change improves security, maintainability, and user interface responsiveness.
- Performance enhancements in v16.4.2 and v16.5.0 improve content folder navigation, document detail loading, and sitemap generation for Experience Pages. Review the 16.4.2 release notes for upgrade instructions related to these improvements.
- The AI Content Assistant now supports Google's Vertex AI Gemini and Ollama models, and can use images as primary context.
- The JCR consistency checker tool includes a new
indexexportcommand. This command allows you to export Lucene indexes from the command line for backup and maintenance. This update is part of an ongoing effort to consolidate index management within the Jackrabbit core.
